Congratulations to FDU MFA candidate Anthony Ausiello for his publication in Gravel: A Literary Journal. According to Anthony, his short story, “Stubborn Sarah,” was born from faculty member Eliot Schrefer’s “Wicked Question” workshop at the MFA’s last Madison residency. About the workshop, Anthony said, it “nudged my writing into unfamiliar territory, which was both fun and challenging.”

Anthony Ausiello is currently pursuing his MFA in Creative Writing-Fiction at Fairleigh Dickinson University and is a reader for the The Literary Review. Way back when, he received his BA in English from The Pennsylvania State University. His work has appeared in The East Bay Review, Berfrois, NoiseMedium, Rat’s Ass Review, and Writer’s Digest. Anthony successfully navigated through corporate America for almost two decades before departing to search for the Promised Land. He lives happily in Westfield, New Jersey, with his wife, Talia, and children, Anya and Eli.
