“At some point or another, all of us will experience grief. It’s our natural response to the loss of someone or something we love dearly. At least that’s what the self-help books say,” FDU MFA graduate student and TLR Assistant Editor Lisa Grgas writes. While exploring The Names of Birds, Daniel Wolff’s 2015 poetry collection from Four Way Books, Lisa asks the important questions, such as, “Can I be grateful to have been allowed the experience of her death, while also wishing it hadn’t happened?” Read more at The Literary Review.

Lisa Grgas is the Assistant Poetry Editor at The Literary Review. Her work has appeared or is forthcoming in Fratcal, Web Del Sol, and elsewhere. She also reviews poetry for Tin House Magazine in Portland, Oregon.
