Zyzak’s The Ballad of Barnabas Pierkiel, a review

Posted by Gracelyn Weaver in Book Reviews, publications

A first novel, a wonderful sort of Don Quixote meets Beckett in a 20th-century Slavic country mired in medieval lunacy, by a young woman who came to the States from Poland at 17 and, in her late 20s, has produced her first novel–in a very funny, fluid English.  My review, in the Minneapolis Star Tribune.
