MFA Poetry Alum Flower Conroy Named Key West Poet Laureate

FDU MFA alumna Flower Conroy has been named Key West Poet Laureate. Congratulations, Flower!
 
Flower Conroy is the author of Facts About Snakes & Hearts, winner of Heavy Feather Press’ Chapbook Contest; The Awful Suicidal Swans; and Escape to Nowhere. Her poetry’s been nominated for Best of the Net, Best New Poets and Pushcart Prizes and has won Radar Poetry’s first annual Coniston Prize, the Key West Tennessee Williams Poetry Contest and the Richard Heyman Award. She is a scholarship recipient of Bread Loaf, Squaw Valley, Napa Valley and the Key West Literary Seminar. Her poetry has appeared/is forthcoming in American Literary Review, Prairie Schooner, Gargoyle and others.
