FDU MFA Alum Heather Lang Reviews Beautiful Zero by Jennifer Willoughby at The Volta Blog
Fairleigh Dickinson University MFA Creative Writing alum Heather Lang reviews Beautiful Zero (Milkweed Editions) by Jennifer Willoughby.
Heather writes, “Beautiful Zero is strange, and it is important. If I had to liken this collection of poetry to a children’s game, I might suggest pin the tail on the unicorn, for its magic, or pin the tail on the mermaid, for its nod toward humanity.”
Heather Lang is a poet, literary critic, and adjunct professor. Her work has been published by or is forthcoming in diode, Pleiades, The Normal School, and Whiskey Island among other publications. In April of 2016, Nevada’s NPR member radio station interviewed her about her poetry, and she served as a moderator/panelist at AWP16 in Los Angeles. In June, Heather will be the Las Vegas Poetry Organizations’ featured poet. She’s a Fairleigh Dickinson University MFA graduate and an editor for both The Literary Review and Petite Hound Press. www.heatherlangwrites.com
