MFA Alum Cassie Hay’s Documentary To Premiere At SXSW Film Festival

Have you heard? It’s official. Fairleigh Dickinson University MFA Alum Cassie Hay’s first full-length documentary, The Liberators, which chronicles the decades-long search for the Quedlinburg Treasure, has been selected out of thousands to have its world premiere at the SXSW Film Festival in Austin this March. Congratulations, Cassie!
 
CassieHayCassie Hay is a director, writer, and producer based in Austin, Texas. She originally hails from Denison, Texas. Cassie Hay’s scope of video and film work includes everything from major film productions (The Wolf of Wall Street, For Colored Girls) to television (Bored to Death, Law & Order) to commercials and micro-budget coaching videos (Gotham Girls Roller Derby). She earned her BFA in Film and Television Production from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and an MFA in Creative Non-Fiction Writing from Fairleigh-Dickinson University.
